Using the Woodwork Table.

Vetaia sawing the wood. He needs to keep his fingers well out of the way.

Here is Binuka cutting his wood on an angle to change it's shape.

Charis is drilling the wood to make a hole. She has to wind the handle.

Jeide is being really careful with the hack-saw. The blade is really thin on the hack-saw. Watch out for fingers Jeide!

Cecily came to school with Life Jackets to try.

Charis is getting fitted with her Life Jacket. The zip needs to be done up. The belt tightened so it fits snuggly. Her jacket needs to be the right size so it won't fall off in the water.

We practise getting into a circle out of the water so we can keep together.

We protect small people in the middle of the circle to keep them warm and safe.

We practised wearing the life jackets in the pool and lying on our back then our front. It was hard at first.

Here is Caiden floating on his back.

We made our circles in the pool and tried to move it down the other end keeping together. This was challenging.

We made lots of water foam with our feet when we kicked in a line down to the end of the pool. We kept laughing. We tried to keep together.

Relax! How long can we float in one spot?

Strange Shaped Apple.

Tylar found this really strange shaped apple in our fruit bowl. He thought it was a funny apple and laughed a lot. One of our 'Habits of Mind' this term is to find Humour. Look at Tylar's big grin!

Inventing and enjoying music.

Charis made this monster from a paper cup during Hands On Learning Time.

Olivia made a castle from her paper cup.

Peyton, Eden and Isabella made pictures from foam shapes.

We had a visit from the "Drumming Wallahs" group of musicians from Ghana.

They made us laugh. Their skills with their instruments were amazing.

We had a try at the two balls that tinkled when you moved them. It was hard to do.

We had a go at dancing. This was fun. The teachers had a try too. We laughed a lot.
